Regional Beijinhos de Pombal were born in the beginning of the second half of the 20th century. They appeared out of necessity, to take advantage of the empty spaces in the trays of Cavacas de Pombal. They are today one of Pombal’s specialties most appreciated and known throughout the country. It is a crunchy, dry and very light cake, wrapped by a cover with a soft touch of vanilla.
