Raivas is a conventual biscuit with over 200 years of history. Their clumsy flower shape and flavour make Raivas de Aveiro a classic of Portuguese sweets. Some people say that the origin of the name is associated with the difficulty in biting the biscuit – “It gives me a rage(raiva) to bite this biscuit”.
